Day 12 Dubai

One of hubby ex uni friends are staying here. Uncle Ooi that’s what my children called him is a Malaysian working in dubai for the past 3 years. We were lucky enough to have him drove us around and as an unofficial tour guide..hehehe. I was all smiles cos it makes it so much easier to have someone who know his way around because of the time limit. I wanted to find some nice material for baju kurung for this coming raya and I got a total of 14 pieces altogether. Mind u it wasn’t all mine!!! Hehehe..i wish. Bought one for mom, sil, my bibik and one for mummycool and not forgetting my hubby, alif n allysha too. Yessss we all gonna have matching outfits!!! hahaha

We went to 3 different shops and once I’m done the next item on the menu is ‘MAKAN’..food..food n more food. Alif thoroughly enjoyed his makan time too..i’ve never seen him so happy to get his food..hahaha..it’s a miracle!!! We were all so happy cos the beriani was superb!!! And yes I used to eat here too..our joint whenever we flew to dubai..the visitor restaurant is a must visit. Killer beriani and the juiciest mango juice ever!!!

After which like the malay proverb says ‘Gendang Gendut Tali Kecapi Kenyang Perut Suka Hati’. We left at around 11pm back to hotel.

Day 11 Departure LON-DXB

Next Destination, London to Dubai (LHR-DXB). Our flight is scheduled to depart at 2.15 pm and arrival Dubai at 2.30 am local time. We went early to the airport to submit our VAT claim. It was all smooth sailing and we were really privilege due to traveling with children. So most of the time we were allowed to cut Q and that save us a lot of lining up and waiting. Pheewww!! And less headache for me too.

We board our much awaited trip simply because we are traveling on board Emirates A380. and my jaw dropped upon seeing the super sized jumbo aircraft in front of our boarding gate..yup it was huge!! I was ecstatic n excited. It was my very first and hopefully not my last. During my flying days I wanted so much to travel on the Concorde and sadly that dream of mine..never happen!!! Hahaha..but anyway..god is always great..he gave me the chance to travel on one of these!! It’s amazing and ‘Alhamdulillah’

Once on board I had the much awaited movie marathon as Allysha slept throughout most of the journey and I get to watch 2 movies..which one??? What else if it’s not the Confession of a Shopaholic and Brides Wars..yeahhh..chick flicks!!!

Finally at 2.30 am we landed at Dubai International Airport, took a taxi to Oasis Court Hotel Apartment and went to bed half past 4!!..i dreamt of BERIANI, CHIX TIKKA, AND MANGO JUICE. Arrgghhh heaven on earth..hahaha.

Day 10 London

Today is our last day in London. Our next stop is Harrods to get what else??? Souvenirs. I managed to grab few fridge magnets, shopping bags, bears, key chains, pouches, toys etc. The place screams of Luxury..and Expensiveness. Only the rich and multimillionaires shops here..mere mortal like us shop at the gifts stores only..hahaha.

After getting what we wanted we head outside for window shopping and to spend the leftover money before our departure tomorrow. Finally I got the chance to get few magazines and tit bits, you see..london was like second home to me during my flying days. Imagine going to London like 3 times in a month..yes that’s how bad my roster was and so coming back here is like a walk down memory lane..the difference is that I have 2 kids in tow..hahaha. I miss all the stuff I used to buy fm here..mainly the mags and tit bits from Mark & Spencer. And finally on the final day..i got to get those stuff..what a relief.

We took the train back to East Acton at around 6. We need to get back early cos I have sooooo many stuff to pack and I’m cracking my head on ways to stow those items. But thank ‘Allah’ it was all within our 60kg baggage allowance.

Day 9 London

Another fun day for the kids as we headed to LEGOLAND, Windsor. The weather was not in our favour that day..it started to rain all over london and it’s gloomy and chilly too! We had no choice as my kids is screaming of something FUN to do..they get bored of shopping unlike mummy. So to please my lil bunny we decided to go ahead anyway.

As u can see from the pic’s all of us had to put on our not so glamorous rain cot throughout the visit. Legoland is a park full of what else?? LEGO!!! Hahaha..but it was real fun and creative to see all these miniature towns and buildings made from lego. It is Alif second visit here so u can imagine him being a ‘SIFU’ n letting us know exactly where n what he wanted from here. Talking bout being Bossy!!! Hahaha.

Anyway..we did not managed to finished the whole park as we really did took our time enjoying each one of the rides and play area. We left at around 6 pm which is also the closing time and head back home and ‘tapau’ dinner from a nearby Pakistani restaurant.

Day 8 London

I need to get few more stuff for family n friends. We went to Westfield shopping mall which is just 10 mins from the house. They have brand names like Ferragamo, LV, A/X, Timberland, Topshop, H&M, M&S and many more. Believe it or not we arrived half pass 10 and we stayed till they closed which is around half pass 7!! Hhmmm..there are still items that I did not managed to get during my previous shopping session like a watch for dad and a nice purse for mom and so today my aim is to get gifts for our families.

Mission accomplished, I’m quite happy and contented..finally my shopping list is done!! And I have no more worrying to do!! Hahaha. We had lunch at a sushi restaurant and yup it cost us a bomb compared to having one here in Malaysia but it was an experience to be able to have variety of food during our holiday.

Not much picture taking session as we were as busy as a bee. I did however scored a priceless item for myself..nothing huge or big, but just something I wanted..a Ferragamo loafers and my Thomas Sabo Charm!!! Told ya I’m a fan of charms. Dinner that night is at a Lahore Restaurant with menu of Beryani, nan, curry and dhal..awesome!!!

Day 7 Paris

We will be leaving Paris back to London. Our train is at 3.15 pm and so we decided to go for a hop on hop off tour of the city of Paris. The city itself is full of historic places. The bus took us to some of the famous tourist venue in Paris like Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre Muzium, La Defense and many more. We did not managed to get down on most of the tour due to time constrained, however pls enjoy whatever pics that hubby managed to snap on that day.

The tour ended roughly 21/2 hrs later and we headed back to hotel to pick up our luggage before leaving on the train back to London. We arrived London at 5.30 pm. By then all of us are too tired to think of anything so we went straight back to East Acton and cook a decent dinner Nasi Ayam London style …hahaha.

Day 6 Paris

Hubby and Alif left in the morning to La Valle Village for more shopping, as for me..i decided to stay back in the hotel for a bit of resting with Allysha. She was not feeling really great and I have given her medication and she’s recovering quite well.

By 4 pm hubby came back to fetch us. Next on the list is perfume hunting. Yup..i am a perfume addict and the best place to go here in paris is Sephora. It is a girls best store..like a kid in a toy shop that’s how crazy I was in there. Tons and tons of the latest perfume and make up. Ohhh my..i just cant contained my excitement that I got 5 bottles of perfume for myself, 2 pack of eyeshadows from CD and Sephora, few lipstick and lip gloss and of course 4 bottles for him. Because of the amount of our shopping basket we get lots of free sample and gifts from the sales assistant. They are sooooo generous and I get a free makeover too!!!

After my needed therapy we took a stroll along Champ Ellysees before calling it a day.
