LESSology Challenge #1 - Altered Book

Hey peeps. I had a great day..i'm embracing my inner soul. Hahaha..u wonder what this rambling is all about. It's just that i used to be the accessories queen but ever since the kids and all, i always stick to my usual diamond ring, watch and the occasional silver, leather cord charm bracelet but i break the norm today. I had fun at Diva! Yup i was on fire! Hahaha..must be another hormonal case. I like what i buy and here's a pic of my purchase. Anyway lets get on with the purpose of this entry! lol.

Playing for LESSology first challenge. Here's my altered book inspired by my crafty friend Lynnda Hosni. After reading her entry here. First i had to peel the pages from the plastic cover. After which i applied gesso, mists and distress ink. I used a pattern paper to cover the front and back of the book and add flowers and other embellishment.

So what do u think? Ally was upset when she found out i altered her book! lol..she gave me the sad face but i told her i'll buy her a new ones soon! Wicked mommy!!! lol.

About pregnancy and being featured

Hey peeps. First thing first..i am barely 4 weeks pregnant. Dr said it's very early and looking at the scan i can only spot a black dot. Hehehe. So i'm praying and hoping things will be okay for the next 3 months or so. Thanks to all of u for the well wishes over here and at my FB page too! My tummy looks bloated, Doctor said it's the stomach muscle relaxing and preparing for the baby's growth. Yup barely a month and i look like i'm way into my third! Seriously it's a big bump..u'll sure to notice! Hahaha.

Second good news..i was featured as the top 5 over at OUAS. I'm just happy that i've not lost my mojo even though i slept most days! lol. Yup a sleepy head in the making..Oohhh i hope i wont feel this way for the remaining months! I hardly scrap nowadays, unlike my 2/3 lo per day. Sometimes i can only do 1 in 2/3 days. Hhhmmm i was thinking too..maybe after my third month to let go of all my dt's work and perhaps on teaching too. I'm not sure if i'm able to create. As of now..i'm too lazy to even thinking about it. Oowwhh well i'll give myself a few more months before deciding eehhh.

Altered Box etc...

Hey peeps, aren't u excited that the weekends approaching? I've got a line up of activities and will not be able to scrap! Hahaha. Anyway, recently i've been bugged with a copyright issue. I mean you'll know i'm teaching at a local scrap book store here in KL and often we have students and customers who walk in n out the store. In some of my classes, the students ended up taking photos of my project (layout or mini album) for reason they wont be able to finish theirs on time. That's totally acceptable to me. Some came to my class and ended up selling the same mini album online. I have no idea on how to react to this. It is my copyright and ideas and i think the most ethical way of doing it is to at least mention the original designer of the product or maybe u can just mention 'inspired by so n so'???

Oohhhh i am so in need of advice here. I hardly watermark on my photos too. If i like any layouts or altered projects and would love to do something similar i would make it a point to mention that i scraplift so n so or in some cases i always said inspired by..so n so. I hope i make it clear here and will not end up finding my 'other' project on someone else blog! Hahaha...lol..

Anyway, i'd like to share an altered box that i did recently and yes if u do find the same exact design online in the near future kindly ALERT me!!!! Hahaha. It seems i need to get my photos watermark and yes i am the ORIGINAL CREATOR of this particular box!!!! Hahahaha...lol. Have fun looking guys..:)))

I'm Back!!!!!!

I'm back!!!! Woohhhooo cant wait to get busy at my scrap corner again!!! Well not now anyway. Aaarrgghhh i'm still very tired from the trip and adrenaline rush! lol. I've got plenty to update. Few long due posts for sketchabilities, papier, SIL and scrappin studio. Pics of the trip to GC and hhhmmm no pics of shopping item! lol. Too tired to snap those!

Okay perhaps i will start my entry with sketchabilities? Okay so watch out for next entry yeah. I need to edit the pics first and will be back soon. Oohhh..did i mention my maid is back??? Wwwooohhhooo i love my 'bibik'!!!! She's awesome!!!!

Still no crafting..

Still no crafting today..not quite done with d kids bedroom. Too many toys, i didnt know where to start n if only Alif wud make things easier. He's back from school n the first thing he did is to check on the rubbish bin in case mommy throws anything away!!! Hah!!! So i'm back to square one with mountains of toys to store away! Sigh...

Anyway just sharing with u my fav corner at d moment. I know others have much better looking space than mine but i'm happy to share a corner! Lol..not a room juz corner!!! Lol and..a mini sewing machine! Oohhh well gotta start small..who knows i'm not so lousy after all..hahaha.

Ok enough for now. Back to organizing! :)

My Sunday 3rd Apr

A summary of my sunday. I love blogging fm my iphone. Cant help but to update as often as i can. I also love instagram, i hardly use my canon to snap pics anymore. This application is way too cool to ignore! Lol.

So my sunday involves a layout in d morning n a wedding in the afternoon. The wedding is a beautiful one. I feel like walking in a garden of candles everywhere. It was magical! Congrats to the good looking couple.

I am lazying at home now. Maybe scrap later. I'm itching to do a mini album..n i owe rosa one for Apr.

Creative Scrapper Sketch #139

I did a little cleaning in a small area in the bedroom. The area where i always neglected, where i dump all my scrap items, my bags, those last year purchases that i've forgotten!!! Yeah it was horror to find things that u bought n totally forgot or have no idea it exists!! lol. It was only a small space with my ikea cabinet but loads of boxes on the sides. You wont believe the amount of junk i hoard!!!

It took the entire afternoon and 8 large dustbin bags!!! Omg..i dont believe my eyes looking at so many empty boxes, shopping bags n plastics i have in there. Plus..a massive amount of used perfume bottles! Still after all the hardwork..it looks almost the same..still looking pretty much untouch! Hah!! I'm dead tired. Oohhh well i'll start clearing again in 6 mths time hopefully i dont find dead mouse in there! lol.

On to this layout for creative scrapper sketch 139. It was an awesome sketch and again i used my studio calico kit. I'm telling you there's so much things in there i didnt even bother digging out anything else! To tell u the truth i cant wait for my feb kit to arrive!!! Oohhh yes i'm deeply madly in love looking at the sneek peek. Hhhuurrrmmm patience is a virtue...:))

Cards n Such

Sometimes i wonder where did the hours go. Silently if i cud have one wish perhaps i'd like the days to be longer. It seems that i could only managed to get few things done n before i know it it's 3am the next morning!! Alif's schooling and homework has taken much of my time. Only in junior2 he needs constant monitoring. I feel the toll now. His scheduled is full from morning till 10.30 pm! That's how busy my boy is. There's so much demand n expectation out of 8 years old that i wonder if it's normal to live life at a fast lane? That age? hhmmmm.

Anyway, while still pondering n wondering i did get to complete few stuff for the coming weeks. No reveal yet..hehehe wait till next week yeah. But i'd like to share this card with u today. If u notice i'm not so much of a cardmaker. I seems to be spending much time doing everything else except that! lol. So one of my new year resolution is to create cards at every opportunity i get. I'll start my 2011 with this piece.

Created with so much tlc!!! lol. It's in my fav colour, fav blooms, fav lace, fav buttons, and fav seams ribbon!!! Yeah that's why it says 'smile'. I love everything about it n it did put a big smile on my face, more like satisfaction! A great start to a year with more cards. Cheers to that!! Hehehe.

A Letter For Fellow Scrapper

Dear Scrapper Friends,

Fret not, i'm not about to give up on scrapping...hehehe but due to my current situation of getting things done for the coming birthday i decided to take a really short break till next week. I'll be back with more n more layouts soon! I have plenty...to share! Currently my creative juice is over flowing and i'm excited about something too! U'll read about it real soon!..hehehe.

I know u probably was asking urself what kind of birthday party takes so much planning??. Hhhhmmmm well..i have like 160 guests, kids included to cater n entertained! lol...yeah it's gonna be BIG! I wish i cud invite everyone here but as it is i am extremely sorry for not being able to do so. The reason is because it's a birthday celebration for dad too and we've invited most of his friends. Please accept my apology.

So now u know n understand what type of madness i'm going through to get the party favours done in time! Still gasping for air, i managed to get one or two projects for Papier done. That'll be the next week posting for the blog. Wish me luck. As a parting goodbye's till i'm able to scrap again, i'll leave u with 3 layout n tags that i did during my class at 'Madewithlove' in singapore (remember my short hols) yeah that's the one!.

Back fm Holidays

Hey peeps, i'm back from my short holidays. Cant really call it holidays though cos i'm dead tired!!! Hahaha. Yeah travelling with a toddler is no joke! My children have plenty of energy but cant say the same bout mommy! Hahaha...Guess it's pampering time for me, gonna check out the local spa in this few days. Aarrrgghh my feet are aching too! been walking the whole league of Orchard road in s'pore for two days non stop and even get to enroll myself in a scrapping class at 'Madewithlove'..lol.

I bought..heaps! but not sure where to start now? perhaps finishing my old stash is a good idea but my hands are itching to open up the packaging of my TH numerals, grunge paper, tape, prima, BG curio pp, Alcohol ink and more! Hhhmmm i should take it slow, when the body is tired the mind went blank! Yuppp..mojoless at this point.

Apart from that the kids had a swell time in Universal Studio and yeah like mommy they bought heaps of toys too!! cant blame them for the habit, they learned from the best!!! lol. Perhaps on our next vacay we should plan to go somewhere secluded, no malls involved or whatsoever. Hhhmmm an island getaway would be good! So okay..gonna post the pics soon. Till then, a layout i did before my hols is next on posting. Watch the space! :))

A Thank U Note and A Layout.

Wowww...what a day! I believe the crop market was a success. I never knew i'd have so much fun doing what i do best..talk!! Hehehe..definitely looking forward to more crop's (party, market) whatever as long as i get to talk n mingle!!! Reminds me of my 'flying days', of how much i love to be around people. Yeah i think that part will never leave me. Happy to be of service! I'm contented by the thank u's that i received for a job/favors done. Thank you to all my scrapper friends who came to support, knowing that they themself are fully equipt season scrapper with much knowledge but still make an effort to just be there to show us their support is indeed bliss. Where else can u find a bunch of happy goers that is just happy to share n be merry? Yup..i heart them a lot. U gurls know who u are! Thank u!..:)

I'm ready for bed actually but being me..u know i like to please my audience/readers more than anything else. I believe though it's nothing much but my rambling and blog entry does make someone's day, or maybe i like to make believe it does! hahaha lol, No worries, i'm good either way. Weekends and such

I'm pretty sure u know d drill by now..weekends are pretty hectic for me. Whoever says lazy sunday?? hehehe. Yeah obviously it doesnt work for me that much. Anyway i took the kids out for a movie outing on saturday. We watch 'Sammy's Adventure'. My little girl falls asleep half way..thehehe. Cant blame d movie though..it was her nap time after all.

Today was a buzz of activity at home. My son is having his final exam at school tomorrow. I didnt think i've prepared him enough. I'm not sure about u but it's hard to keep a 7 years old to concentrate on books! He seems to be having all sorts of excuses for every situation. Friends told me to take it easy, he's only 7!! Yeah, but i want him to know that without effort things just dont fall into places. Without effort, u dont get anywhere. It's okay not to score but at least i know he give his best. That's all i ever wanted from him. Perhaps he's too small to understand, i'll let him go this time but next year it's gonna be a different story altogether.

I didn't create much too. Been lacking on the mojo. So instead i tried diverting and was on dvd marathon instead. I hope to get a layout or two done in a few days. I did a few altered notebook for a good friend who's starting a new job tomorrow. A shout out for her..." All the best gf!! I know u can do it". Worry not..i'm just a phone call away. :)

Two lo's, card n the day itself.

I had a terrible day emotionally! Too mad to blog about it, or perhaps too embarass to spill the details. Anyway it's nothing important just a business venture turn bad. I hope one day i'll be able to look back and know that i've learned to be choosy in trusting people. Yes i know we all go through this stage of being lied too. betrayed and stab in the back but the saddest part is when it happens to the closest of friends. Okay enough about that. I'm not gonna sit n ponder and have a heart attack at this age! What's done is done, it's time to move on.
