Challenging February

Hey all, again sorry for the lack of updates. As the title say it, it was a challenging February for moi n family. My son Alif was hospitalised for a serious allergy reaction. The cause could be a combination of food and virus which doc said could have trigger something in his body. I'm glad he's back home with us now after spending 4 days at KPJ Selangor. 

I have not been creating much too. Everything was put on hold as I've been commuting daily from home to the hospital. Seriously I can't bare to spend a moment more in that hospital room. It makes my body weak and yeah drag my mood down and at times I feel tired for no reason! Pray to god things gonna be better from now onwards.

Altered Canvas Back

Hey peeps..remember me? lol...I'm truly sorry for the lack of updates. Been away for holiday and came home not well. However i'm recovering..slowly but still i'm thankful that my helper is back to assist me in a few months time and if everything goes well i should be able to get my second helper in a weeks time. I feel so blessed at this moment to have someone helping me with the kids and house chores.

Altered Canvas for Papier

Hey..hey..hey. How's ur day gurls??? I had fun! Yup, what more could be fun other than visiting my fav lss??? lol. While i was at Papier i did get my weekly fix at some yummylicious glitz design papers and stickers! Ooowwhhh the enjoyment of looking at beautiful papers is bliss! Hahaha.

So, tell ya the truth i actually forgot about my posting at papier blog today. My mind was so occupied with finishing my mini that i totally miss on doing an autopost. Right before noon i had this weird feeling that somethings not right and then i remembered!!! Hahaha..but still not too late to post my entry and it was up on the blog at 12.30 pm! Silly me...

Anyway, i did this altered canvas using only gesso, mists, papers and stickers. Like i mention before the BG Luscious Collection has some gorgeous blooms to fussy cut. I did just that and add the chipboard stickers, ice stickles and glossy accents.

Check out the upcoming classes for June at Papier, they have a line up of projects to keep u occupied every week. Dont know bout u but i just love classes! Hahaha..hhhmmm that's a reminder for myself too! Oohh yeah i love to attend any workshop if time permits..:)))

TCR #55 n Canvas Tutorial

Finally, all things are in place. Done with d kids bedroom n my lil space. Now back to my scrapping table!! hopefully i'm able to create. Anyway i promise to share a tutorial on my canvas. So i managed to complete it last week. The colours is base on TCR#55.

First i prep my canvas with gesso. I'm sure many of u knows about this step but what i wanted to share is instead of using brush i opt for a spatula, that way i can control the amount of gesso n the thickness of the medium. It's easier to clean the tools too!

Next i die cut a mounting board. Stick it to my dry canvas with medium gel. I added lace on the lower half of the page n texture paste randomly on the borders. Leave to dry.

Since i'm playing with tcr, i blend my acrylic paint with small amount of water in a mister. That's my way of painting my canvas. I prefer to mists my colours directly on my canvas. I sprayed to my heart content! lol. I tried not to mix the colours with each other otherwise i will not get the exact colour of the tcr palette.

Once the colour dries i proceed to stamp n embellish on my canvas. So..there u have it. The whole process is quite simple except that i have to wait for the texture paste to dry which in my case took more than 3 hours!

Altered Canvas Pt2

I'm back again!!!! This time sharing an altered canvas that  did last week. I was hoping i could save this one for later but...hhhmmm cant wait no longer cos i love this piece! lol. The details of how i construct this canvas is a lil too complicated. Hehehe. Actually i did not plan on how i wanted to place the items. I just start from the base and slowly build the details until i'm happy with the result. Fyi, the porcelain frame is a gift and i've kept it hidden for quite sometime. Oooppsss..until recently but of course with a lot of makeover! lol.

Again no paint just mists. Can u tell, i'm a lazy bum? Hahaha. Anyway that reminds me..next time to used a diifferent colour!!! I'm sure u can see the resemblance with my previous one. So i'm gonna have a go with two more piece of canvas soon and once i'm done i'll share it with u gurls.

Altered Canvas + Metal Art

Hellooooo...yes i'm feeling so much better today! Thank u all for the get well wishes. I know u peeps are the best lot i cud ask for! Anytime anyday i feel like pouring my heart content i wud look no further than here! In my own blog, my own space. I am glad to have found u guys n thanks for taking time to listen to my rambling n whining..lol *hugs*

I just cant wait to share this piece with u. I've been meaning to do my altered canvas for a while now n finally got to create one during my 'not well phase'. See told ya i cant stop doing what i love most..i just cant stop creating!

Here's a quick info how i did this piece. To get the colours i wanted i first prime the background with gesso, leave it to dry before slapping on my texture paste on the borders. Thanks to kak liza for the plastic template. That's what i used as d design border. Next..i used mists...yup u heard me right! Not paint but mists..all over the page. Enhanced with glitter powder in gold.

Lastly i layer on the embellishment!! To ur heart desire..i wasnt thinking on what to put..i basically just grab anything i cud think off n start building my canvas that way.

I hope u like what ur seeing. Guess what??? I've got one more to show off!!! Lol...or maybe i'll save it for much..much later. That one is my fav!!!! :))))
