Still no crafting..

Still no crafting today..not quite done with d kids bedroom. Too many toys, i didnt know where to start n if only Alif wud make things easier. He's back from school n the first thing he did is to check on the rubbish bin in case mommy throws anything away!!! Hah!!! So i'm back to square one with mountains of toys to store away! Sigh...

Anyway just sharing with u my fav corner at d moment. I know others have much better looking space than mine but i'm happy to share a corner! Lol..not a room juz corner!!! Lol and..a mini sewing machine! Oohhh well gotta start small..who knows i'm not so lousy after all..hahaha.

Ok enough for now. Back to organizing! :)

My aim today is to finish few Atc's for the coming swap. I only managed to do 6!!! lol. Been occupied with things lately and i just came back from some foot pampering at a local wellness centre. Aarrgghhh it feels good to have a reflexology and a foot scrub once a while. So here's a peek of my atc's. Hhhmmm perhaps i was in a festive mood hence the colour combo!!! lol..yeah it's red n green alrite! Hahaha...:))

I've been keeping this news for about a month now. Planning to spill the beans when the publications out. They say it'll be in Jan or Feb and i was suprised that it came out early. Thanks to Hubby's family for informing him about it. I'm too excited to wait for tomorrow and decided to snap some photos n blog about it! lol.

In case ur wondering, they (the magazines) contacted us after seeing our craft items at armalia.blogspot.com. No we didnt get paid! hehehe. So to Malaysian friends, go get ur copy of Nur (btw it's a local mag for hijab ladies). Okay..guess i'll be smiling to sleep now! lol..:))

Altered Box n Tags

Happy saturday everyone. I'm all smile since his arrival. It's been an enjoyable 2 days, even the kids cant get enough of daddy! lol. He took us out today. I've been wanting to savour 'Mandy rice' from last month. Yeah that's how long i have to wait. It's impossible to travel to the city during weekdays. The traffic is horrible! so i had to wait till he's back n take me there. It's worth the wait! I am full n satisfied...:))

The other day a friend gave me this RM5 box (tq acik nah). She knows i'll do something to it..anything actually. Seriously the box is sooooo boring! so i altered it to look like this!..of course it gotta have pink, flowers, butterflies n blings. I didnt have a plan or sketch for this project, i just pick n dump my embellish like how i like it (didnt i always do that?)..lol.

So dont ask for tutorial..it wasnt plan at all...the same goes to the chipboard tag. Notice how i like to use up my bits n pieces, hence the handmade flowers. Nothing go to waste, every little pieces is precious to me...hehehe. Hopefully i get to scrap a layout or two tonite. It's been a while..:)

Pretty Boxes

I found a great find yesterday, well at least to me!! hehehe. I've always been crazy bout boxes, cans and jars. Been trying to curb that habit otherwise i'll run out of space in my small crib here but..i found these amazing value for money at a local shop. I went mad/crazy/bonkers all in one.

I have no idea what to do with them yet, perhaps it'll be used to store my ribbons, laces, flowers and paints. One thing for sure it's too pretty to be altered! Seriously i'm afraid i cant do justice and i prefer to leave it as it is for the time being. Maybe perhaps just a bit of distressing here n there but that's about it. Gosh..i'm so happy!!! too bad i dont have a craft room if not it'll make a great deco.

The week is coming to an end. I had so much activity goin on, with the kids and all. Earlier today i attended a mini album class conducted by Sharon K at Scrappingville. It's great to be able to learn something that u are not familiar with, she's known for her 'beading' technique and her edgy style is simply eccentric. There's so much to do in the class, with little details here n there. I did not finished mine, i took it back home and will proceed to add more details n a bit of this n that too. So just a sneak peak of what's coming in the next few days time..(i hope) lol.

Apart from that i took time off from doing any layout and managed to alter a tiny mini pail. It's so small and too cute not to notice. I pick it up from a bridal gift shop the other day. In them i dump all my blooms and leave it on my craft table for my next project. As always i'll be back with more entry...:)

Weekends and such

I'm pretty sure u know d drill by now..weekends are pretty hectic for me. Whoever says lazy sunday?? hehehe. Yeah obviously it doesnt work for me that much. Anyway i took the kids out for a movie outing on saturday. We watch 'Sammy's Adventure'. My little girl falls asleep half way..thehehe. Cant blame d movie though..it was her nap time after all.

Today was a buzz of activity at home. My son is having his final exam at school tomorrow. I didnt think i've prepared him enough. I'm not sure about u but it's hard to keep a 7 years old to concentrate on books! He seems to be having all sorts of excuses for every situation. Friends told me to take it easy, he's only 7!! Yeah, but i want him to know that without effort things just dont fall into places. Without effort, u dont get anywhere. It's okay not to score but at least i know he give his best. That's all i ever wanted from him. Perhaps he's too small to understand, i'll let him go this time but next year it's gonna be a different story altogether.

I didn't create much too. Been lacking on the mojo. So instead i tried diverting and was on dvd marathon instead. I hope to get a layout or two done in a few days. I did a few altered notebook for a good friend who's starting a new job tomorrow. A shout out for her..." All the best gf!! I know u can do it". Worry not..i'm just a phone call away. :)

25th Sept, Open House Trip

It's been a day filled with food, food n more food. Yes peeps that's how we celebrated 'Eidul Fitri' here in Kuala Lumpur. I've had like 6 open house invitation for today and managed to do only 2! The third doesnt count, it was a visit to my bro's house. We've been from Kota Kemuning to Kota Damansara and then to Klang and back home in Shah Alam. Yes that is a lot of travelling! hahaha.

A friend celebrated hers n son birthday today too. So it's a 2 in 1 celebration. She did one of the best 'Chicken Rice' in town! I love her 'chili sambal' and her chicken is roasted to perfection. Simply wonderful! I'm glad my kids towed along obediently too! infact it was one of their best behaviour so far. They played and eat as civilised as can be. There's no fighting, screaming or tantrum anywhere to be seen. Phheewwww...it was a relief.

For Moi Scrapping Pleasure...

I had an awesome day!!! What cud be better than stopping over at my fav scrapbook store!! Hehehe. Yuppp..Papier, that is!! It was joy n pure bliss. I get to meet fellow scrapper friends for lunch and thanks Macy for d treat! We shall rotate next time around eehhh.

Instead of shopping for this coming 'Raya' i end up shopping for scrapbook stuff!! But..i promise myself this would be the last for this month. Looking at all of these makes me wanna sit at my table and do nothing but scrap!! The 'ramadhan' is approaching in a few days. I wonder if i have time to indulge myself! Lol. I promise to take things slow this month so perhaps some of my projects will take longer to complete and hence lesser updates on this blog. Ooohhh what is life without blogging!! Hahaha.

I did get a lot of 7gypsies, Dark Room Doors n Tim Holtz. It seems those are my current obsession apart from tags!! U wont believe how many tags i've got yesterday! Plenty..my bags are full of em from all sorts of manufacturers. First i need to clear my not so favourite stuff and then i'll make way for my latest craze!! So watch this space peeps.

A Smile n A Jar...

A long day indeed. Finally i find time to sit, talk, browse and blog!! Hahaha. I meet with yuz n yam to collect the crochet flowers that we ordered from Rita. Later decided to join Yuz, June n Elaine to Scrap n Crop. The intention is to look, see n perhaps a lil bit of this n that BUT!!! I ended up with a bag full of stuff! :) I wasnt the big spender, but the other 3!! Omg...yeah my jaw drops looking at their bills.

It was a great trip indeed. I cant wait to dig into my bags but that has to wait. I'm too tired to scrap. Perhaps i will have a better mojo in the morning. Just to share my latest project. I am into Jars now. Only managed to do 2 will add more later. Till then have a good rest..:)

More Scrapbook goodies...

I did a stop at papier yesterday and yeah cant resist the yummy prima flowers on display. I got the Tim Holtz Compedium book too and...i did one special layout based on the tutorial in the book. Cant reveal it yet. Look out for it in Aug! lol.

Seriously u guys should drop by the store soon. I went bonkers looking at the flowers and  limit myself to only 3 packets! Duuhhh..I stock up on other items too. After paying and looking at my receipt i noticed that i have accumulated around 5300 points!! Which also means..i have been spending that much at papier alone! hahaha..better hide that receipt from Mr Hubby.

I'm also a member of Craft Heaven and Whimsical Articles and yeahhh did a massive amount of shopping there too. When is enough? i can never tell. The moment i said to myself i'm not spending suddenly there... staring in front of my laptop screen the latest arrival!! and the countless sms on discounted scrap items everyweek. How do u resist? Perhaps if someone have an idea to curb this madness of mine..please share.

If everything else failed...hhhmmmm perhaps i shud just toss the car key to Mr Hubby!! Hahaha..no transport no shopping!!! lol...
