Gothic Fashion

Always a fan of fashion and my all time favourite is the goth look but of course those which are wearable for our culture and climate! During my younger and before hijab days u will see me mostly in black outfit. I actually have plenty of photos to seconded that! (however Mr hubby prohibits any upload of photos during flying days @ before hijab) Hahaha..nothing but black tops, black skirt, black pants, black jacket, black nail polish, black boots, lace up shoes and on certain nightstop station..black lipstick to go with lace or leather choker! Yeah smoky eyes included.

I remembered one particular nightstop in Sydney. I was sporting a short hair and was so itchy to colour my hair blue black! And what did I do? I went to the local supermarket, bought myself a hair dye and did the colouring myself. On the next day in my uniform checking out for flight a senior stewardess pulled me aside to point out the black n blue dye on the back of my neck and ears! Hahaha. Since then I vowed to never do it yourself when it comes to colouring my hair. And yeah it was a messy job, the hotel hand towel was stained as well. Lucky for me they did not billed me for that! and the worst thing was when a few weeks later i get called up by the grooming office for sporting a blue/black hair colour!!! they say due to my pale skin tone i look like 'the living dead aka vampirette (that's what they call a female vampire) and had to dye my hair back to dark brown.

As I grow older…yeah ‘older’ okayyyyy I toned down on the goth look and I hardly dress in black anymore. But in my wardrobe there is still a few pieces of black lace blouse and dark purple velvet skirt waiting to be worn on a special occasion perhaps? Hhhmmm who knows…

Anyway please do not associate my love for goth fashion with anything demoralize, gruesome, religious inspired or anything to do with the dead!! i just happen to love anything dark and mysterious..hahaha. it’s been ages since I put on the goth look, I don’t want to be seen as a crazy ‘makcik’ and so the only fashion statement from my dark era is this goth style ring that I got from diva..well it’s better than nothing..:P
