Chubby Alif Layout for Scrappin Studio

Hey everyone, oohhh i've been immersed in so much lately, mini album, altered canvas n layouts! I'm rushing to finish few comission work simply because my maid is taking her 2 mths leave soon! She's planning to go by 23rd but today she changed her mind n instead she'll be leaving by end of the month. Pphhewww such a relief!! So i dont hv to rush those 17 layouts in a few days!!!

Okay on to these piece. I was again trying to perfect my white space concept and i think studio calico kit is basically design to do just that! lol. Seriously, i cannot achieve this kinda style with sketches, which is always full of layering n embellishment. So i decided this kit is flexible enough just to have a single or multiple of smaller photos and space at the same time.

In fact my remaining layout with this kit will only be that..lots n lots of space!!! Hahaha. I hope u like my attempt at simplicity. I'm in a phase y'all..oohhh well that's just me..creating with lots n lots of style!!! I love to try every single thing! No hard rules, i'm having fun...:)))

I used grunge for the bird cage and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Will post more entry tonite..till then ciao..:)

Altered Canvas + Metal Art

Hellooooo...yes i'm feeling so much better today! Thank u all for the get well wishes. I know u peeps are the best lot i cud ask for! Anytime anyday i feel like pouring my heart content i wud look no further than here! In my own blog, my own space. I am glad to have found u guys n thanks for taking time to listen to my rambling n whining..lol *hugs*

I just cant wait to share this piece with u. I've been meaning to do my altered canvas for a while now n finally got to create one during my 'not well phase'. See told ya i cant stop doing what i love most..i just cant stop creating!

Here's a quick info how i did this piece. To get the colours i wanted i first prime the background with gesso, leave it to dry before slapping on my texture paste on the borders. Thanks to kak liza for the plastic template. That's what i used as d design border. Next..i used mists...yup u heard me right! Not paint but mists..all over the page. Enhanced with glitter powder in gold.

Lastly i layer on the embellishment!! To ur heart desire..i wasnt thinking on what to put..i basically just grab anything i cud think off n start building my canvas that way.

I hope u like what ur seeing. Guess what??? I've got one more to show off!!! Lol...or maybe i'll save it for much..much later. That one is my fav!!!! :))))

Oh my..i'm still not well. Still on medication but i'm bored to the max. I did go out with d kids today. Gotta get up n about. Cant think so much of being sick n i have a class tomorrow!!!

Hopefully i have the energy cos it's gonna be a long day. Anyway this layout is done like a week ago. Nothing much, i was actually experimenting with space. The embellishment is mostly from my swap buddies.
